How to make Stickers!

Making stickers is an activity I tried out in May, I believe. I never realized how easy and fun it was to make them! They are also so easy and affordable! One of the best things about these is that they are repositionable on most surfaces. Because they don't require sticker paper,  the materials are more accessible for normal people who are doing it for fun. I like how you can make them custom also. I hope yours work out for you!

Materials

  • Parchment Paper(It is very important for storage and the making of it in general)
  • A picture(Don't use cardstock or any thick or stiff paper or risk it coming apart)
  • Packing tape(You could use any clear, transparent tape, but with packing tape, you will have more room to make bigger stickers.)
  • Scissors(small is better for complex designs)

Directions

  1. For the picture on the sticker, you can either draw your own or print one out on printer paper. Make sure it is as small as the tape is.  Cut it out close to the edge with small tipped scissors
An assortment of art that I made
  2. Cut two identical pieces of packing tape that are a little wider than the picture and stick one of them onto the parchment paper.
  3. Take the cut-out picture and stick it color side up onto the sticky side of the tape. (To make it easier to position the picture onto the tape, put the sticky side of the tape up and fold the edges onto the table or your workspace)
  4. Stick the piece of tape with the picture on it flush onto the other piece of tape that is on the parchment.
  5. Cut the shape of the sticker out far from the edges of the picture so that the bottom layer of tape will stay to the top layer. (if you have double-sided packing tape for the bottom layer of tape, this is not as important.)

  6. Store your stickers on parchment paper.

When I stored mine, I put some in these cute envelopes that I found online.
